Ingredients
For the Crumble Mixture:
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup cold Butter
For the Apple Filling:
- 3 Apples (peeled and chopped)
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- Remaining Apples (6, for stuffing)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crumble Mixture
Preheat the oven to 400F. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut the cold butter into small cubes, add to the mixture, and cut in with a pastry knife or forks until crumbly. Set aside.
- Prepare the Apple Filling
Peel and chop 3 apples. In a pot, combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and apples. Simmer until apples soften.
- Assemble the Stuffed Apples
Cut tops off 6 apples and core them, leaving a bowl for filling. Place on a baking sheet, fill with apple mixture, and top with crumble. Bake at 400F for 12-15 mins.
- Serve and Enjoy!
Optionally, serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
