Description

Delicious and refreshing Banana Berry Frozen Dog Treats made with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and ripe banana. These healthy, all-natural treats are perfect for cooling down your dog on a hot day, packed with vitamins and antioxidants, and easy to prepare with just a blender and a freezer.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 ripe banana

Optional

  • Water (if needed for blending)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash and chop the strawberries to measure 1 cup for the recipe.
  2. Prepare the Blueberries: Wash fresh blueberries or use frozen blueberries directly from the freezer as measured one cup.
  3. Combine Fruits in Blender: Place the chopped strawberries and blueberries in the blender.
  4. Add Banana: Peel the ripe banana and add it to the blender with the other fruits.
  5. Blend Until Smooth: Blend all ingredients until you achieve a smooth, pureed consistency. Add a little water if the mixture is too thick, especially when using frozen fruit, to aid blending.
  6. Pour into Molds: Pour the fruit puree into silicone molds or ice cube trays for portioned treats.
  7. Freeze Treats: Place the molds in the freezer and let them set for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight until completely frozen.
  8. Serve and Store: Remove the frozen treats from the molds and offer one to your dog as a refreshing snack. Store the remaining treats in an airtight container in the freezer to keep them fresh.

Notes

  • You can use frozen blueberries directly without thawing, but adding a little water during blending may be necessary.
  • Use silicone molds or ice cube trays for easy removal of frozen treats.
  • These treats are intended for occasional use as a healthy snack and not as a meal replacement.
  • Always supervise your dog when giving frozen treats to ensure safe chewing.
