Instructions
- Cook the Eggs and Bacon: Scramble the eggs in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Season them with salt and pepper to taste. In a separate pan, cook the bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Lay out the two slices of bread. Place 1 1/2 slices of American cheese on each slice. On one slice, layer the cooked bacon on top of the cheese, followed by the scrambled eggs. Cover with the other slice of bread to complete the sandwich.
- Butter the Sandwich: Spread about 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter evenly on the top side of the sandwich.
- Heat the Skillet: In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Cook the Sandwich – First Side: Place the sandwich in the skillet with the buttered side facing up and the unbuttered bread side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
- Flip and Press: Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula, pressing down lightly to ensure even toasting. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the opposite side is browned and the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve: Remove the sandwich from the skillet and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
