Brownie Layer

- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Ganache
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
Topping
- 1/4 cup chocolate shavings
- Additional ganache for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare Brownie Base: Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 9”x13” baking pan with parchment paper and grease with cooking spray. Prepare the two boxes of brownie mix according to the package instructions. Pour both prepared batters into the pan, spreading evenly. Bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let it cool completely.
- Make Cream Cheese Filling: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and continue beating until the mixture is lump-free. Add vanilla extract and kosher salt, then beat again until completely combined.
- Prepare Chocolate Ganache: Place chocolate chips in a medium heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a boil. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and let it sit for 5 minutes to melt the chocolate. Whisk gently until the ganache is smooth. Allow it to cool slightly to thicken.
- Assemble the Brownie Lasagna: Carefully remove the cooled brownie slab from the pan and cut it in half widthwise. Then, cut each half in half horizontally to create four thin brownie layers. Place one brownie layer on a serving platter. Spread a thin layer of ganache over it, followed by approximately one-third of the cream cheese filling. Repeat this layering process two more times, ending with the final brownie layer on top. Spread the remaining ganache over the top layer. Refrigerate the assembled brownie lasagna for at least 1 hour to chill and set.
- Serve and Garnish: Before serving, top the brownie lasagna with chocolate shavings and drizzle additional ganache over it for an elegant finish.
