Instructions

  2. Roast Cabbage: Spread the sliced cabbage on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and toss to evenly coat. Arrange in a single layer and roast for 10 to 15 minutes until the cabbage softens and edges turn lightly brown.
  3. Cook Bacon: While the cabbage roasts, heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until it crisps up and releases fat.
  4. Sauté Onion and Garlic: Add the chopped onion to the pan with bacon fat and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring often, until the onion is soft and translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Make Creamy Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese and black pepper. Stir well and allow the sauce to simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Combine Cabbage and Sauce: Add the roasted cabbage to the pan and toss thoroughly, ensuring every cabbage strip is coated with the creamy sauce. Season with additional salt or pepper to taste.
