  • Total Time: 7-8 hours (including setting time)
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Description

This rich and creamy Candied Pecan Fudge combines the nutty flavors of browned butter with white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, all studded with crunchy candied pecans for a sweet and satisfying treat. Perfect for holidays or special occasions, this fudge recipe is easy to make on the stovetop and offers a smooth, velvety texture with delightful nutty bites.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 3 Tbsp browned butter
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 4 oz. white almond bark
  • 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 1 1/2 cups candied pecans, divided

Instructions

  1. Brown the Butter: Place the butter pieces in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously for 7-8 minutes until the butter turns golden brown and toasted milk solids collect at the bottom, creating a fragrant nutty aroma.
  2. Melt Ingredients in Double Boiler: Using a double boiler, combine the browned butter, white chocolate chips, white almond bark, and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and fully melted.
  3. Combine Pecans and Vanilla: Remove the mixture from heat. Stir in 1 1/4 cups of the candied pecans along with the vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly to distribute the flavors evenly.
  4. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper for easy removal and pour the fudge mixture into the pan. Use a spatula to smooth the surface evenly.
  5. Add the Topping: Sprinkle the remaining candied pecans on top of the fudge, breaking them into smaller pieces if desired for easier serving and added texture.
  6. Cool and Set: Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for 6-8 hours until set. Alternatively, you can refrigerate it for 2-4 hours for faster setting.
  7. Serve: Once fully set, remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and enjoy this decadent treat!

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh candied pecans or prepare your own for enhanced flavor and crunch.
  • Ensure continuous stirring when browning butter and melting ingredients to prevent burning or grainy texture.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or refrigerate for extended freshness.
  • You can adjust the amount of pecans to your preference or substitute with other nuts like walnuts.
  • Using parchment paper makes removal and cutting much easier without sticking.
