- 1–2 cups chicken broth (adjust depending on soupiness preference)
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1–2 tablespoons chili crisp
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Sauté Mushrooms and Garlic: Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and sauté until they become softened and flavorful, about 5-7 minutes. Add the grated garlic in the last 1-2 minutes of sautéing to release its aroma without burning.
- Simmer Wontons: Add the frozen wontons directly to the skillet along with 1 to 2 cups of chicken broth (depending on how soupy you’d like it) and 1/2 cup of teriyaki sauce. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes until the wontons are thoroughly heated and cooked through.
- Finish and Garnish: Remove the lid and drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of sesame oil and 1-2 tablespoons of chili crisp over the wontons and broth. Stir gently to combine. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for extra texture and flavor.
