Ingredients
Scale
Fudge Base
- 16 Mint Oreo Cookies
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (1 can)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon green food coloring
Topping
- 1/3 cup red and green M&M’s
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil to ensure easy removal of the fudge later.
- Chop Oreos: Break or chop the Mint Oreo cookies into small pieces to evenly distribute throughout the fudge.
- Melt Ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and room temperature unsalted butter. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth, approximately 2 minutes.
- Add Flavor and Color: Stir in the vanilla extract and green food coloring until fully incorporated and the mixture turns a festive mint green color.
- Fold in Oreos: Gently fold the chopped Oreo pieces into the melted white chocolate mixture to keep their crunch.
- Pour and Decorate: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly and smoothing the top. Sprinkle the red and green M&M’s over the surface, pressing lightly to help them stick to the fudge.
- Chill: Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until completely set and firm.
- Cut and Serve: Once chilled, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper, place it on a cutting board, and slice into squares for serving.
Notes
- Vanilla extract enhances the flavor but can be omitted if desired.
- Use a microwave-safe bowl for melting the ingredients to ensure even melting and safety.
- For a stronger mint flavor, add a few drops of peppermint extract in place of some vanilla.
- Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Allow the fudge to come to room temperature briefly before serving to soften slightly for best texture.
