Description

A warm and comforting Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal Bowl featuring sautéed apples with cinnamon and vanilla, creamy rolled oats cooked in almond milk, topped with almond butter and maple syrup for a naturally sweet and nourishing breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Apple Topping

  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 small apple, diced
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Oatmeal

  • ½ cup rolled oats (Bob’s Red Mill preferred)
  • 1 cup almond milk (Malk preferred)

Toppings

  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Apples: Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Once hot, add the diced small apple, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Sauté for about 3 minutes until the apples soften and become fragrant.
  2. Reserve Apples for Topping: Remove a few pieces of the sautéed apples from the pot and set aside to use as a topping later.
  3. Cook the Oats: Add ½ cup rolled oats and 1 cup almond milk to the pot with the remaining apples. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Simmer the Oatmeal: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir occasionally until the oats absorb the almond milk and the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
  5. Assemble the Bowl: Serve the cooked oatmeal in a bowl and top with the reserved sautéed apples, 1 tablespoon almond butter, and 1 tablespoon maple syrup.
  6. Enjoy: Relish your warm, flavorful cinnamon apple oatmeal bowl as a wholesome and delicious breakfast treat.
