- 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
For the Sauce:
- 1 medium shallot, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 ¼ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup dry white wine*
- ½ cup half and half
- 1 bunch kale, stems removed and leaves torn into bite-sized pieces
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan, about 2 ounces
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Cook gnocchi: Boil gnocchi according to package instructions; drain well.
- Season and cook chicken: Season chicken, cook in butter until golden brown and cooked through; set aside.
- Prepare sauce: Cook shallot, garlic, thyme, whisk in flour, then gradually add broth, wine, and half and half until thickened; season.
- Combine and bake: Stir in gnocchi and kale, add chicken, sprinkle with Parmesan, bake until bubbly.
- Serve: Serve hot.
