  • Author: Mariam
  • Total Time: 32-35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 bars 1x

Description

Easter Magic Bars are a delightful layered treat featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, oats, chocolate and peanut butter chips, topped with sweetened condensed milk and colorful Easter M&M’s. Baked to golden perfection, these bars offer a perfect combination of crunch and sweetness ideal for spring celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (approx 1 sleeve)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)

Layers

  • 2/3 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup Easter M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350º F to prepare for baking the bars.
  2. Prepare Crust: In the bottom of a 13×9 inch baking pan, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into a thin, even layer covering the entire bottom of the pan.
  3. Add Oats: Sprinkle the old fashioned oats evenly over the prepared crust layer.
  4. Top with Chips: Evenly distribute the semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter chips over the oats.
  5. Pour Sweetened Condensed Milk: Slowly pour the sweetened condensed milk over the chocolate and peanut butter chips, making sure to coat as much of the surface as possible.
  6. Add M&M’s: Sprinkle Easter M&M’s evenly on top of the condensed milk layer for a festive touch.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown and the bars are set.
  8. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Be sure to press the graham cracker crust firmly to avoid crumbly bars.
  • For a different flavor profile, substitute peanut butter chips with butterscotch or white chocolate chips.
  • Letting the bars cool completely is essential for clean slices.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Use festive M&M’s for holiday variations (e.g., red and green for Christmas).
