- 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 3/4 cup water or beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch blended with 1 tbsp water
Additional:
- 12 oz steamed broccoli florets
- 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Sauté Aromatics: Add neutral oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the Instant Pot; sauté until fragrant.
- Brown the Beef and Deglaze: Add flank steak to the pot, brown on all sides, then deglaze with water.
- Add Sauce Ingredients and Pressure Cook: Mix in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water; pressure cook for 8 minutes.
- Thicken the Sauce: Stir in cornstarch slurry, cook until thickened.
- Finish with Broccoli, Serve, and Garnish: Add broccoli, serve over rice, and garnish with sesame seeds.
