Description

This Homemade Strawberry Popsicles recipe delivers a refreshing and naturally sweet frozen treat made from fresh strawberries, sugar, and a touch of lemon juice. Perfect for warm days, these popsicles are easy to prepare, requiring just a blender and popsicle molds, with no cooking involved. Enjoy the pure taste of fresh fruit in a cool and healthy dessert option.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds fresh strawberries (washed, hulled, and chopped)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture: Combine the chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, and water in a blender. Add lemon juice if you prefer a slight tang in your popsicles. Blend the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and well-combined.
  2. Fill molds: Carefully pour the blended strawberry mixture into your popsicle molds, filling each cavity evenly to avoid overflow.
  3. Insert sticks: Place the lid securely on the mold and insert the popsicle sticks through the designated slots to keep them upright during freezing.
  4. Freeze: Place the filled mold in the freezer and allow the popsicles to freeze solid for at least 5 hours to ensure they are fully set.
  5. Release popsicles: To remove the popsicles from the mold, run the outside of the mold under warm water for 10 to 20 seconds. This loosens the mixture, making it easier to pull the popsicles out without breaking.
  6. Store or serve: Enjoy the popsicles immediately or wrap each one individually in small plastic bags, seal them tightly, and return them to the freezer for future enjoyment.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar to taste or substitute with honey or agave for a different sweetener.
  • Lemon juice is optional but enhances the brightness of the flavor and helps preserve color.
  • If you don’t have popsicle molds, small paper cups and wooden sticks work as alternatives.
  • Make sure the popsicles are fully frozen before removing to avoid melting and mess.
  • To speed up blending, chill the strawberries beforehand.
