Mango Puree:
- 2 medium-sized Alphonso mangoes, yielding approximately 1.5 cups mango pulp
Tea Base:
- 3 teaspoons black tea powder (or black tea leaves or 2 to 3 black tea bags)
- 4 cups water
Additional:
- ½ to ¾ tablespoons lemon juice
- Raw sugar or white sugar, to taste
- 3 to 4 mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Mango Puree: Peel and chop the mangoes, discard the stones, and puree them in a blender. Refrigerate the mango puree until ready to use.
- Brew Black Tea: Heat water until boiling, add black tea powder or leaves, steep for 3 to 4 minutes, then strain and refrigerate the brewed tea.
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cooled black tea, mango puree, lemon juice, and sugar to taste. Blend until smooth.
- Serve: Pour the Mango Iced Tea into tall glasses over ice cubes. Garnish with mint leaves, mango slices, or lemon slices. Serve chilled.
