Meatballs
- 250 grams Minced Chicken
- ½ tsp Red Chilli powder
- ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Green Chilli (finely chopped)
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 2 tbsp Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 2 tbsp Oil (for frying meatballs)
Tomato Sauce
- 5 large Tomato (chopped & pureed)
- 2 tbsp Garlic (peeled, finely chopped)
- 1 medium Onion (peeled, finely chopped)
- 1 no Green Chilli (finely chopped)
- ½ tsp Dried Oregano (finely chopped)
- ½ tsp Dried Basil
- 3 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
Sandwich Assembly
- 10 slices White Bread
- 5 large Eggs
- 1¼ cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 5 tbsp Coriander Leaves (chopped finely)
- 5 tbsp Butter (for toasting)
- 5 tsp Oil (to fry eggs)
Instructions
- Prepare Meatballs: Combine minced chicken with red chilli powder, black pepper, finely chopped coriander leaves, green chilli, grated Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, salt, and Italian seasoning. Mix thoroughly and shape the mixture into meatballs. Heat oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until they develop a nice golden color. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- Make Tomato Sauce: Using the same oil, sauté garlic, finely chopped onions, and green chilli for about a minute until fragrant. Add salt and sugar, continuing to cook until the onions turn golden brown. Stir in the pureed tomatoes, tomato ketchup, red chilli powder, and black pepper powder and cook the sauce until it reduces and thickens slightly.
- Simmer Meatballs in Sauce: Add water as needed to adjust sauce consistency, then stir in dried oregano and basil. Add the fried meatballs to the sauce and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes to absorb flavors. Finish by stirring in finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Fry Eggs: Drizzle oil into a pan and fry the eggs to your desired doneness.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Place a slice of bread on a flat surface. Top with a fried egg, a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, some chopped coriander leaves, and several meatballs. Cover with another slice of bread.
- Toast Sandwiches: Heat a tawa or skillet, spread butter on both sides of the sandwich, and toast until both sides are golden brown and the cheese melts.
- Serve: Serve the meatball sandwiches hot for a comforting and flavorful meal.
