Wet Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 2 whole oranges
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Sift Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Prepare Oranges: Take one orange, cut in half, and juice it. Peel the other orange, then slice it into chunks.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine egg, sugar, milk, oranges pieces, juice, and butter. Mix until well combined.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Spoon batter into muffin pans and bake at 380°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- You can add a sprinkle of orange zest on top of the muffins before baking for extra citrus flavor.
