- 1 1/2 sticks butter (softened)
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Dish: Coat a 9″x13″ baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Slice Bread: Cut French bread into 1-inch slices and arrange them in the baking dish, overlapping.
- Make Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Soak Bread: Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, ensuring they are fully coated. Refrigerate covered overnight.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F. Flip bread slices to coat evenly.
- Prepare Topping: Mix butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread over bread slices.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until puffed and golden.
