  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Dish: Coat a 9″x13″ baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Slice Bread: Cut French bread into 1-inch slices and arrange them in the baking dish, overlapping.
  3. Make Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk eggs, half-and-half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  4. Soak Bread: Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, ensuring they are fully coated. Refrigerate covered overnight.
  5. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F. Flip bread slices to coat evenly.
  6. Prepare Topping: Mix butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread over bread slices.
