Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Mixtures
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk (divided evenly between mixtures)
- 1 tsp peppermint extract (added to white chocolate mixture)
Toppings and Additions
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
- Red food coloring (optional, a few drops for extra swirl effect)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, making sure the paper overhangs the edges to allow easy removal of the fudge later.
- Melt Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips separately. Use either a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or a double boiler on the stove until each chocolate is silky smooth.
- Mix Ingredients: Stir half of the sweetened condensed milk into each bowl of melted chocolate until fully combined and smooth.
- Add Peppermint: Incorporate 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract into the white chocolate mixture to infuse it with mint flavor.
- Create Layers: Pour half of the semi-sweet chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and smooth into an even layer. Quickly pour half of the white chocolate mixture on top. Repeat with the remaining semi-sweet and white chocolate mixtures to create layered swirls. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
- Add Peppermint Candies: Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies evenly over the top of the fudge. Optionally, add a few drops of red food coloring and swirl it with a toothpick to enhance the peppermint swirl visually.
- Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to cut into squares.
- Serve: Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve chilled for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor and texture.
- Crushing peppermint candies can be done using a plastic bag and a rolling pin or by pulsing in a food processor.
- Red food coloring is optional but adds a festive visual swirl to the fudge.
- Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Bring fudge to room temperature before serving if a softer texture is preferred.
