Scale
Meatball Mixture
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, thoroughly mix the ground beef, diced onion, minced garlic, grated parmesan cheese, Italian breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, egg, and milk until well combined.
- Shape Meatballs: Form the mixture into meatballs approximately 2 inches in diameter, ensuring consistent size for even cooking. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer in the basket of your air fryer.
- Air Fry Meatballs: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook the meatballs for 10 to 12 minutes. Flip halfway through if desired. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
- Ensure meatballs are not overcrowded in the air fryer basket for even cooking and browning.
- Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure safety.
- Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
- Serve with marinara sauce and pasta or on their own as a tasty appetizer.
