Cheesecake Layer:

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream (optional)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch baking pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the brownie base: In a bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and eggs. Add flour and baking powder, mixing until smooth. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  3. Prepare the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream until smooth. Pour over the cooled brownie base and smooth the top.
  4. Bake: Bake the brownie cheesecake at 325°F (160°C) for 35–40 minutes until the cheesecake is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Cool and chill: Let the brownie cheesecake cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving chilled.
