Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Base
- 2 cups milk or semi-sweet chocolate bar, chopped or chocolate chips (16 ounces)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, to thin out chocolate)
Toppings
- Brach’s Cinnamon Jelly Hearts
- “Pucker-Up” Lips (Gummi Sour Cherry Hearts)
- Brach’s Valentine Conversation Heart Candies
- Festive sprinkles of your choice
Instructions
- Prepare Your Baking Sheet: Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for the chocolate bark.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate and coconut oil together in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval until the chocolate is smooth and silky.
- Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto the lined baking sheet. Using a spatula, spread the chocolate evenly into a layer about 1/4 to 1/3 inch thick.
- Add the Toppings: Sprinkle the top of the melted chocolate with jelly hearts, sour jelly lips, conversation heart candies, and festive sprinkles or any toppings you prefer, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Refrigerate to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or until the chocolate hardens completely. Once set, break into pieces by hand or cut into squares with a sharp knife.
Notes
- Use coconut oil sparingly to avoid thinning the chocolate too much.
- Feel free to customize toppings with nuts, dried fruits, or other candies.
- Store the bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
- Let the bark come to room temperature briefly before serving for better flavor.
