St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Pops Recipe

  • Author: Mariam
  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Yield: 24 Oreo Pops 1x

Description

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these festive Oreo Pops featuring marbled green and yellow Oreo dough balls dipped in rich semi-sweet chocolate and decorated with rainbow gummies and gold sprinkles. These no-bake, colorful treats are perfect for parties or a fun holiday dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Oreo Mixture

  • 1 package Golden Oreo Thins (13.1 ounces)
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 drops green food coloring

Chocolate Coating and Decoration

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 rainbow gummy candies
  • 1/4 cup gold sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place Golden Oreo Thins in a food processor and pulse until they are finely crumbled, with a texture resembling sand.
  2. Combine with cream cheese: In a large bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese thoroughly until a soft dough forms.
  3. Add color: Divide the dough into two halves. Add green food coloring to one half and mix well until fully saturated with green color.
  4. Form marbled balls: Split both colored and uncolored dough into 12 small pieces each. Roll one piece of green dough and one piece of yellow dough together using your hands to form marbled balls.
  5. Prepare for freezing: Place the marbled balls onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Using a small spoon or teaspoon, make an indent on top of each ball, then insert a popsicle stick or rod into the center.
  6. Freeze the balls: Freeze the balls for about 20 minutes while preparing the chocolate for dipping.
  7. Melt chocolate: In a heat-safe medium bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  8. Dip the balls: Use a fork or spoon to support each Oreo ball and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl, then set the coated balls back onto the parchment paper.
  9. Decorate: Before the chocolate hardens, add a rainbow gummy candy and sprinkle gold sprinkles on top of each chocolate-covered Oreo ball.
  10. Chill to set: Refrigerate the Oreo pops for about one hour or until the chocolate has fully hardened. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing with Oreo crumbs.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent the balls from sticking during freezing and setting.
  • To speed up chocolate melting, stir frequently during microwave intervals to avoid scorching.
  • Store finished Oreo pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a different look, try white chocolate or colored candy melts as coating.
