Ingredients

Scale

Caramel Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Salted butter
  • 3 tbsp Besti Brown Monk Fruit Allulose Blend
  • 2/3 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt and Brown Butter with Sweetener: In a large saucepan over low heat, combine the salted butter and Besti Brown Monk Fruit Allulose Blend. Stir occasionally as they melt together, then cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture takes on a golden brown color. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
  2. Add Cream and Simmer: Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the caramel sauce is a deep dark color and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  3. Finish with Vanilla: Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract thoroughly to incorporate flavor.
  4. Cool and Thicken: Allow the caramel sauce to cool slightly from hot to warm, during which it will thicken further, making it ready to serve or store.

Notes

  • Watch the caramel closely while cooking as it can burn quickly once it starts browning.
  • This sauce will thicken more as it cools; if it becomes too thick, gently rewarm before serving.
  • Use Besti Brown Monk Fruit Allulose Blend or a similar monk fruit and allulose combination sweetener for the best sugar-free caramel consistency.
  • Store leftover caramel sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Warm gently before reuse.
  • This recipe is naturally gluten free and suitable for those avoiding sugar, but not vegan due to butter and cream.
