Description

A simple and delicious recipe for Toasted Paneer, perfect for kids. Paneer fingers are marinated with lemon juice, oregano, chili powder, and salt, then pan-fried until golden and crispy, making a healthy and tasty snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

Marination

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste

Main Ingredient

  • 100 grams Paneer, sliced into fingers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine oil, lemon juice, oregano, chili powder, and salt. Mix well to create a uniform marinade.
  2. Marinate the Paneer: Add the paneer fingers to the marinade and gently mix until all pieces are evenly coated. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Heat the Tawa: Place a tawa (griddle) on medium heat and allow it to heat up properly before adding the paneer.
  4. Toast the Paneer: Arrange the marinated paneer fingers on the hot tawa and fry them until each side turns golden brown and slightly crispy, taking care to flip them gently for even cooking.
  5. Serve: Once toasted on all sides, remove the paneer from the tawa and serve immediately as a healthy snack for kids.

Notes

  • Use fresh paneer for the best texture and taste.
  • You can adjust the chili powder quantity according to your child’s spice tolerance.
  • Serve with a side of ketchup or green chutney for added flavor.
  • Ensure the tawa is hot enough before adding paneer to avoid sticking.
  • For a low-fat version, use minimal oil or a non-stick pan.
