  • Yield: 6 jars (6-ounce each) 1x

Description

Cookie Delight Jars are an indulgent no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed cookies, creamy cream cheese mixture, instant chocolate pudding, and whipped cream, all served elegantly in individual jars. Four delicious cookie varieties—Milano, Oreo, Biscoff, and Nutter Butter—are paired with complementary toppings to create a delightful treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (57 g) confectioners’ sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream, divided

Pudding Mixture

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (3.4-oz.) package instant chocolate pudding

Whipped Cream

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar

Cookie Varieties and Toppings

  • 15 Milano cookies (12 coarsely crushed, 3 halved)
  • 6 tablespoons raspberry jam
  • 18 Oreos (12 coarsely crushed, 6 whole)
  • 6 tablespoons hot fudge, slightly warmed
  • 18 Biscoff cookies (12 coarsely crushed, 6 whole)
  • 6 tablespoons Biscoff cookie spread, slightly warmed
  • 18 Nutter Butter cookies (12 coarsely crushed, 6 whole)
  • 6 tablespoons peanut butter, slightly warmed

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, use a handheld mixer on medium-high speed to beat the softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup of confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract, a pinch of kosher salt, and 1/2 cup of heavy cream, then continue to beat until the mixture holds stiff peaks.
  2. Make Pudding Mixture: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the milk and instant chocolate pudding until the mixture thickens and sets.
  3. Whip Remaining Cream: In a third medium bowl, use the handheld mixer on medium-high speed to beat the remaining 3/4 cup of heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of confectioners’ sugar until medium peaks form for the final whipped cream topping.
  4. Assemble Jars: Choose which cookie variety you want to prepare. Divide the 12 coarsely crushed cookies evenly among six 6-ounce jars (about 2 tablespoons per jar). Top the crushed cookies with about 1/4 cup of the cream cheese mixture. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of the coordinating topping (raspberry jam, hot fudge, Biscoff spread, or peanut butter) over each jar, followed by another 2 tablespoons of crushed cookies. Reserve any leftover crushed cookies for garnish.
  5. Add Pudding and Chill: Divide the prepared pudding mixture evenly among the jars, about 1/4 cup each. Add a dollop of the whipped cream on top of each jar. Refrigerate the jars for at least 2 hours or up to overnight to let the layers set and chill thoroughly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: When ready to serve, top each jar with any reserved crushed cookies and the remaining whole or halved cookies as a decorative and crunchy topping.

Notes

  • You can prepare these jars a day ahead for convenient entertaining; just keep them refrigerated.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar in the cream cheese mixture and whipped cream to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet dessert.
  • Feel free to experiment with other cookie varieties and complementary toppings based on your preference.
  • Use a handheld mixer or stand mixer for best results in whipping the creams and mixtures.
  • The jars used should be 6-ounce size for proper layering as described.
