  • Author: Mariam
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sushi rolls 1x

Description

A fun and colorful twist on sushi made with Fruity Pebbles cereal, marshmallows, and marshmallow fluff. This no-bake dessert is easy to assemble, featuring crispy, sweet cereal coated in melted marshmallows and rolled with a layer of fluffy marshmallow spread for a delightful treat that looks like sushi rolls.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 5 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
  • 10 oz. mini marshmallows
  • 2 cups marshmallow fluff

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a baking sheet with wax paper and lightly grease it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Coat Cereal: Remove the pot from heat immediately and stir in the Fruity Pebbles cereal until every piece is fully coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.
  4. Form Rectangle: Transfer the cereal mixture onto the prepared pan. Using a spatula or hands, press and pat it down into a thin, even rectangle.
  5. Spread Fluff: Spread the marshmallow fluff evenly in a thin layer over the cereal rectangle to add a creamy texture and sweetness.
  6. Roll Sushi: Slice the cereal sheet in half crosswise. Starting from the long side, carefully roll up each half into a tight sushi roll shape.
  7. Chill: Place the rolls in the refrigerator and chill for about 1 hour until they are firm and set.
  8. Slice and Serve: After chilling, slice the rolls into sushi-sized pieces and serve as a fun, colorful dessert or snack.

Notes

  • Use wax paper to easily remove the cereal mixture from the pan without sticking.
  • Press the cereal mixture firmly for compact rolls that hold their shape better.
  • You can substitute marshmallow fluff with additional melted marshmallows for the inner layer if desired.
  • Store leftover sushi rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For cleaner slices, use a sharp, wet knife when cutting the sushi rolls.
