Scale
Main Ingredients
- 4 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Seasonal nonpareils (optional)
Instructions
- Combine White Chocolate and Condensed Milk: In a medium-sized heat-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and the sweetened condensed milk. Microwave the mixture in 25-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each, until the mixture becomes smooth. It may appear stiff halfway through but will melt down with continued heating and stirring.
- Add Molasses: Once the mixture is smooth and creamy, stir in the molasses until the fudge turns a light brown color, ensuring the molasses is evenly incorporated.
- Mix in Spices: Add nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon to the mixture and stir well so the spices are fully blended throughout the fudge base.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray an 8×8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Pour Fudge Mixture: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and use slightly damp, clean hands to evenly spread it across the surface for a smooth finish.
- Add Nonpareils: Sprinkle seasonal nonpareils over the top of the fudge while it is still slightly damp, and gently pat down to help them adhere and set in place.
- Refrigerate to Set: Chill the fudge in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to overnight until fully set and firm, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use a microwave-safe bowl to prevent any damage or hazards.
- Stir the mixture well at each microwave interval to avoid burning the chocolate.
- Adjust the spices according to your taste preference to make the fudge more or less spiced.
- If you don’t have seasonal nonpareils, you can omit or substitute with any festive sprinkles.
- Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week for best freshness.
