Fudge Ingredients
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Boil the Sugar Mixture: In a pot, combine the brown sugar, white sugar, butter, and milk. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring continuously until it reaches 236°F (soft-ball stage), then immediately remove it from heat to prevent burning.
- Add Peanut Butter and Marshmallows: Quickly add the peanut butter and mini marshmallows to the hot sugar mixture. Whip vigorously until the mixture thickens and the marshmallows melt and integrate smoothly.
- Pour Into Pan: Pour the thickened fudge mixture into a buttered 8×8-inch pan. For easier removal, you can line the pan with parchment paper before pouring.
- Cool and Set: Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours, or until completely hardened. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature accurately for best texture.
- Line the pan with parchment paper to easily lift the fudge out without sticking.
- Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness.
- For a different flavor, you can substitute peanut butter with almond or cashew butter.
