Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 1 cup (16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup (30g) confectioners’ sugar
- 2 Tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Beat the butter: In a large bowl using a handheld mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the softened unsalted butter on medium speed for 1 minute until completely smooth and creamy.
- Add remaining ingredients: Add the confectioners’ sugar, honey or pure maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Beat on medium-high speed for 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture is extra creamy and slightly fluffy.
- Mix thoroughly: Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a silicone spatula and beat again as needed to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
- Adjust seasoning: Taste the cinnamon butter and add more cinnamon if desired, up to 1 and 1/4 teaspoons, and/or more salt for balance.
- Serve and store: Serve immediately with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon or flaky sea salt. Cover leftovers tightly and store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for 2 to 3 months.
Notes
- Use softened butter for easier mixing and best texture.
- Adjust cinnamon and sweetness levels to your preference.
- Storing in the refrigerator can prolong freshness but allow butter to soften before serving for best spreadability.
- Great as a topping for toast, pancakes, waffles, muffins, and more.
