Ingredients

Scale

Chilli Sauce Ingredients

  • 125 g chilli paste (Italian chilli paste or sambal oelek)
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp freshly minced garlic
  • ½ tsp freshly minced ginger
  • ½ tsp caster (superfine) sugar
  • Sea salt flakes, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well combined to create a smooth and consistent sauce.
  2. Rest the Sauce: Let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld and develop fully.
  3. Serve or Store: Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Before using, bring it to room temperature to soften the olive oil if it has solidified.

  • Adjust the amount of chilli paste depending on your desired spice level.
  • Can be refrigerated for up to 3 days; always bring back to room temperature before serving.
