Chilli Sauce Ingredients
- 125 g chilli paste (Italian chilli paste or sambal oelek)
- 60 ml olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp freshly minced garlic
- ½ tsp freshly minced ginger
- ½ tsp caster (superfine) sugar
- Sea salt flakes, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well combined to create a smooth and consistent sauce.
- Rest the Sauce: Let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld and develop fully.
- Serve or Store: Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Before using, bring it to room temperature to soften the olive oil if it has solidified.
